Mar 11,  · The sound achieved on "Is This My World" was on the very cutting edge of its time. There weren't many bands that were this blisteringly fast and pummeling throughout. This album had previously been released on CD as bonus tracks to the band's release "Kill Kill Kill," but I think Taang's decision in to release it on a CD by itself was 5/5(13).

"Not Gon' Cry" (also on the Waiting to Exhale soundtrack), and you hear Blige's signature ache married to newfound technique. There's shading, depth and control in her vocals now. For the most part, anyway. On her too-faithful remake of Natalie Cole's '70s R&B smash "Our Love," she sings with the barest acknowledgment of tone or pitch.

This right here is one of my favorite emo records of all time, and overall an emo classic. It is Jimmy Eat World last album before their big commercial breakthrough, Bleed American. The story behind the album is that it was supposed to be their last record as they weren’t extremely successful at the time and Capitol allowed them to make one.
