Quasi’s Mole City fits more into the company of The Beatles’ self-titled album, or Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Stadium Arcadium, where the result is just a bunch of songs at the end of the day. If you’ve found yourself disillusioned with a long of the synthesizer-driven pop music these days, Mole City may be the perfect antidote/5(4).
  9. Vir says:
When Quasi moves towards using an organ (“Dust of the Sun”) or a piano (“Headshrinker”), it gives the album some diversity and a little more depth. Would Mole City work outside of the double-album format? I certainly think so; many of the (less than one-minute) instrumentals only serve to pad the album, and let’s face it, at an hour /5(4).
